Amazing Care Services has a number of welcoming Short-Term Accommodation properties for people with a disability located near local beaches, parks, events and attractions across South Australia. All our properties are welcoming and well-equipped for people with a disability.

Short-term accommodation STA, is a NDIS service that is intended to allow both the carer and the person they care for to take a break. Usually the NDIS fund up to 28 days of Short Term Accommodation per year, this can be used it in a block of up to 14 days at a time or for one weekend a month. Short Term Accommodation is funded under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan. This NDIS support gives you the chance to try new things, make friends and learn skills.

Short Term Accommodation may suit your needs if your usual support network isn’t available for a short period. If you have a goal towards independent living, life skills development or making new friends then you can request for STA funding in your NDIS plan. If you prefer not to stay in one of our STA properties, we can also provide support in your own home.

This short stay away from home gives Participants to:

• A chance to try new things
• To make new friends or develop new skills
• To maintain their current living situation by giving their informal supports a break.
• De-stress and recharge
• Increase independence

Short Term Accommodation includes:

• Personal care
• Accommodation
• Food
• Activities

Note: If you need long term accommodation, then Supported Independent Living [SIL] is a better option to suit your needs. No matter your age or tastes – there’s something for you.

At Amazing Care Services, we make sure your support needs are met:

• 24/7 hours staffed, fully furnished, self-contained, accessible house
• All meals provided throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, dinner morning and afternoon tea
• Fun activities including lunches; concerts; football; fetes
• Amazing meals (planning and cooking)
• Personal care such as showering and dressing and support throughout the day and night
